Races for everyone

A veritable closed circuit extravaganza! Blow away those winter cobwebs with a bracing circuit race around Scotland's most beautiful campus-based University.

Take in the glorious setting as you race eyeballs-out for an hour on a circuit that loops right around the main campus buildings (and a few speed bumps, twisty turns, and even a lovely smooth downhill switchback!).

We will have Youth races all morning around the exact same circuit as the senior races. Road furniture n' all.

4th Cat

Win this and you're a 3rd cat. Simple!

Due to popular demand, and the ever increasing success of womens cycling in Scotland, we will be having a womens race WITH EQUAL PRIZE MONEY!

Main Race

With lots of British Cycling points, and a stack of cash on offer, the E123 race should be quite a spectacle.

The Olwyn Dobson Combativity Award

The Olwyn Dobson Combativity Award is in memory of Olwyn, a wonderful tenacious scouser, who sadly passed away in December 2013. Olwyn was a lover and great supporter of all sports during her long life, and we believe this would be a fitting tribute to her memory. The prize of £25, plus the trophy is to honour the most combatative racer in the Women's race.

Bike Shop Race

In between some of the races we'll be hosting the inaugural 'The Super Special Bike Shop Race' or...errr..TSSBSR for short. Bike Shops from all over Central Scotland have been invited to send just one worker from their shop (or boss if they are feeling brave!) to compete in a 3-5 lap race to see which shop will be crowned the 'Fastest Bike Shop in Scotland'. There are no prizes, but bragging rights over every other shop seems an adequate prize! More shops are joining the fun all the time, if you fancy taking part, drop us an email. Check below for some the shops supporting Crit on the Campus!

The Course

The beautiful surroundings of the Scotland's Sporting University are a perfect backdrop for what promises to be a incredible morning of racing.

In conjunction with the University of Stirling we have managed to secure closure of the entire South side of the loch, including all roads and car parks. This means we can offer a challenging circuit around the main University building. It's not without its perils though; you'll encounter long speed bumps, a few small ramps and some lovely swoopy bends.

Starting at the main University road outside the main Cotrell building entrance, you head through the car parks of the building, past the Stirling Management Centre, along the back road (over some long speed bumps), and loop past the boiler house, before sweeping back along the scenic drive towards the macrobert cinema.
